Save Children's Butterfly Garden NOW

Updated: Mar 17, 2021

It started with a post about an Atala Butterfly Release on NextDoor (on 9/1/20), escalated to several violation notices (11/24/20 and after), and now homeowners in Cypresshead (CH) face the destruction of their children's butterfly garden and thousands of dollars in fines. These exhibits appear to show evidence of what some may call "environmental targeting," the targeting of those who believe in conservation of the environment and, in this case, the protection of butterflies.

What you can do to support the C. Children's Butterfly Garden:

MAYOR RICH WALKER 954-757-4127 (rwalker@cityofparkland.org)

BROWARD COUNTY VICE MAYOR MICHAEL UDINE (mudine@broward.org)

CYPRESSHEAD HOA 954-753-7900

CAMPBELL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT 954-427-8770

Demand that they save the C. Children's Butterfly Garden, stop the targeting of butterfly gardeners, and stop threatening and/ or fining those who maintain butterfly gardens.

Demand that they also force the IMMEDIATE resignation of the president and every board member and ARB member. It is reprehensible and unacceptable for any homeowner to be banned and/ or muted on social media, especially as these relate to the silencing of homeowners on environmental issues.

The destruction of this butterfly habitat cannot be allowed to happen in Cypresshead as it sets a negative precedent for other HOA communities to follow. Thank you.

Thank you.

Why are they saying the garden must be destroyed?

I am happy to see you put up a blog that cant be censored and muted. Maybe your neighbors will feel more comfortable posting here where they cannot be shamed.
