Cypress Head HOA and property management company plan to destroy children's butterfly garden

Updated: Apr 1, 2021

Friends, neighbors, gardeners, butterfly garden warriors, Cypress Head HOA and Campbell Property Management now plan to destroy a children's butterfly garden.

A rejection letter from the ARB appeared to be intentionally supplied 4 days late on the afternoon of Friday, March 12, 2021. The CTEC hearing was scheduled for Monday, March 15, 2021.

In a phone call with the Cypress Head property manager on March 12, 2021, the homeowner was told that her children's butterfly garden needed to be immediately ripped out.

The homeowner was never provided any time-stamped and date-stamped photographs of her butterfly garden despite repeated requests. (Remember: The US Post Office does NOT back stamp envelopes. No resident should accept any photos that are NOT time-stamped and date-stamped on the front.) Furthermore, the homeowner was never once provided an itemization and specification of any of these violation notices despite REPEATED requests for this information. This lack of information prevents her from effectively negotiating and/ or complying with such demands.

The emotional distress that this president, leadership, and management company have caused the homeowner and her family are incalculable. Imagine. There are safety and security concerns that appear to exist in this community yet the president, vice president, Board, ARB, and management company seem laser focused on targeting a children's butterfly garden now and for the last six months.

The homeowner indicates that two security guard patrol cars were dispatched to her home last month to surveil and issue a citation for a small pile of fronds on the side of her home. Who directs security guards to patrol palm tree branches? The homeowner reports that there were obvious signs of selective enforcement since other homeowners left some items on their curbs with complete impunity.

Furthermore, the homeowner now faces thousands of dollars in fines if she fails to comply with the removal of her children's butterfly garden by March 15, 2021.

Please call and email your support for the C. children's butterfly garden in Cypress Head that now faces destruction in Cypress Head, a premier community in Parkland, Florida, on March 15, 2021. Tell them that it cannot be destroyed.

Thank you.

CAMPBELL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT 954-427-8770

The destruction of this butterfly habitat cannot be allowed to happen in Cypress Head as it sets a negative precedent for other HOA communities to follow. Thank you.
