Never mind that the intent of Cypress Head HOA and Campbell Property Management Company to trespass unto a children’s private butterfly garden seems to concern numerous Cypress Head residents, potential residents, and the residents in and around Parkland.
The notokangaroos.com post on this subject generates over 600 views in a few hours of time.
As if things could not seem loopier in Cypress Head, following a post about bullies, beasts, and censors, and a Board member who appeared to identify with Mickey Mouse in a tiny grainy avatar, two new scandals seem to erupt on Cypress Head NextDoor: A Cypress Head Board member and/ or agent appears to open a phony account under the alias of "James Pepper". A NextDoor Community Reviewer, A.C., seems to cyberbully the butterfly garden homeowner and others, to Internet troll butterfly garden supporters, and to encourage the public to TRESPASS a children’s private butterfly garden in a tony guard-gated community in Parkland, Florida.
Folks, we cannot make this stuff up.
Why does someone on the Cypress Head Board and/ or one with strong ties to the HOA masquerade under a false identity on NextDoor?
This seems really CREEPY, dangerous, and concerning to ANY parent(s) of young children.
Fake identities of Cypress Head NextDoor members may pose a threat to ALL children who live in Cypress Head and especially to those associated with the children's butterfly garden that appears to be under intense scrutiny and attack by the Cypress Head HOA and Campbell Property Management Company for the last six months. In this case, the individual who masquerades under the alias of "James Pepper" seems to incite the masses, including one Cypress Head resident, A.C., to encourage STRANGERS to trespass unto the children's butterfly garden, likely because the plans of the Cypress Head HOA and Campbell Property Management Company to trespass unto the children's butterfly garden were halted when a homeowner repeatedly expressed concerns in writing to the president and property manager about the dangers posed to the privacy of small children who frequent the children's butterfly garden. This information and these very concerns were also the subject of an earlier post .
The NextDoor posts that we now refer were quickly and magically deleted yet the screenshots (thank you, friends) made their way to notokangaroos.com.
On Cypress Head NextDoor, one Lead is the Cypress Head long-time HOA president. Another Lead is a Board member. Another Lead is the property manager. There is one other Lead. There are also three Community Reviewers, including A.C.
Will the real "James Pepper" please stand up (or come clean)?
"James Pepper" suddenly joins Cypress Head NextDoor after claiming to reside in Cypress Head for 11 years. (Where has he been for 11 years? Asleep at the Clubhouse?) He seems irate with what he perceives as negative publicity for Cypress Head. “James Pepper” seems to parrot what the HOA president said, as referenced in a recent post, when he lambasted the homeowner at a recent ARB meeting.
Alternatively, James Pepper could be someone who seems to be parroting other Cypress Head Board members.
"James Pepper" initiates and engages communication with the butterfly garden homeowner on NextDoor.
He seems to feel safe as he appears to cyberbully others from behind his keyboard. Again. Now it is a false online identity. In Cypress Head.
"James Pepper" calls out and presses the buttons of some butterfly garden supporters, notably those from the nearby PTE community.
The person masquerading as "James Pepper" appears to be someone on and/ or closely connected to the Cypress Head HOA Board because he publicly discloses confidential information that only a Cypress Head Board member would have access to, that is, knowledge of an insurance policy that the Cypress Head HOA maintained MANY YEARS AGO, prior to the installation of Campbell Property Management Company.
"James Pepper" continues to fire off post after post.
What, pray tell, are these Cypress Head Board members and/ or their representatives thinking and doing to enable "James Pepper"? Why give anyone who uses a fake alias
a platform on NextDoor?
Who is giving Cypress Head all of the "bad PR" that "James Pepper" refers?
It appears as if one needs to look no further than those who lead, govern, and/ or manage this community!
Furthermore, why does "James Pepper" seem to use his alias to attack "the woman" and falsely state that it is "... an unkept yard and call it a butterfly garden"? Again, under a fictitious identity, he feels empowered to attack female homeowners and trash talk children's butterfly gardens that attract over 15 different butterfly species.
Again, this is a children's butterfly garden that has Cease and Desist notices that prevent landscaping alterations for the last six months.
Yet, the president of Cypress Head HOA seems to want the butterfly garden DESTROYED at ANY cost unless, of course, the butterfly garden homeowner acquiesces to HIS demands and the ARB Board that HE influences. This is NOT a rule dictated by the Covenants and/ or any corrective action. It is a recent invention to direct the butterfly garden homeowner to install hedge(s) at a cost of thousands of dollars to hide her children's butterfly garden from HIS view. (This is a side garden on an impasse nowhere near where HE lives.) This outrageous demand for a hedge follows reports from other residents that there is a pattern of encouraging, approving, rejecting, and then finding fault with hedges in Cypress Head.
An investigation reveals that other residents in Cypress Head faced similar struggles and hardships with this Board and ARB:
Why does it seem like such condo commando-like attitudes manifest in Cypress Head?
Cypress Head is truly a beautiful community that was never, not ever, like this before.
Meanwhile, an investigation yields a false identity of “James Pepper”. He is not listed anywhere in the Cypress Head resident directory and/ or in Broward County Records.
Ciao, James Pepper. The NextDoor technicians quickly remove his profile.
Soon A.C., who emails and explains to the butterfly garden homeowner how busy he is in his "executive job", finds the whole day open and available for baiting and antagonizing butterfly garden supporters and the butterfly garden homeowner on NextDoor.
A.C. seems all charged up, like a golf cart battery. In fact, he communicates
to the homeowner that he rode his golf cart by her house. Once he seems to encourage the public to trespass UNLAWFULLY unto the children’s private butterfly garden, she starts to worry. Is this his yard? No. He discloses to the butterfly garden homeowner that he has young children. Why would he then direct STRANGERS, people he does NOT know and/ or others who do NOT know him, to TRESPASS unto a private children’s garden of a neighbor he does NOT personally know? This seems like a REALLY foolish (AND potentially dangerous) method of trying to bully the homeowner by scaring her and her children.
It is unlawful in the State of Florida to trespass on any private property.
Nice job, A.C.
Did he think of the potential implications of his actions before he moved his fingers across his keyboard?
A.C.’s invitation also seems like a pathetic way to exercise control over and/ or intimidate females and children he does not know. From the safety and comfort of his keyboard. And his multiple NextDoor accounts.
Again, there are two Cease and Desist orders on the children’s butterfly garden
for the last 6 months that prevent the performing of any landscaping alterations.
Why doesn’t A.C. just invite everyone on NextDoor to HIS home to see HIS landscaped yard?
Why doesn’t he post photos of HIS home and landscaped property on NextDoor?
He seems to have a knack for bullying others who he does not know and for showing everyone in Parkland what kind of bullying is going on in Cypress Head.
Since A.C. is a Community Reviewer on Cypress Head NextDoor who seems to repeatedly cyberbully others, maybe he and the other Cypress Head bullies need to review the Florida Statutes to stop harassing others online:
Fla. Stat. Ann. §1006.147 defines “cyberbullying” as “bullying through the use of technology or any electronic communication.” Fla. Stat. Ann. § 784.048 states that a person is guilty of a misdemeanor crime if he or she willfully, maliciously, and repeatedly harasses or cyberstalks another person. Cyberbullying is a felony crime if the person engaging in it also makes a credible threat to the victim.
Undoubtedly, since A.C. is NOT the subject of what appears to be ongoing HOA harassment and his property is NOT the subject of relentless selective enforcement, targeting, and Cease and Desist notices, A.C.'s yard probably looks A LOT nicer than the children’s butterfly garden right now.
Let’s give A.C. a few Boy Scout points for that.
Yet, A.C. wants to score a few more points before he logs off. A.C. then lambastes the appearance of the children’s butterfly garden. Is he a new auxiliary member of the butterfly cop force or a wannabe? What does he know about the violation notices and the facts of the matter? Very little to nothing. He admits this by email to the butterfly garden homeowner. How long has A.C. lived in Cypress Head? The records show that he moved into Cypress Head approximately six months ago. Does he know about the Cease and Desist notices that the butterfly garden homeowner received? No. Why is he wasting everyone’s time, including his own precious time, in what he describes as “...a high pressured executive job”, to Internet troll and cyberbully the butterfly garden homeowner and butterfly garden supporters?
Imagine. There are actually residents in Cypress Head who are cyberbullying and intimidating others over butterflies! Yes, butterflies.
This is just too much.
What kind of message does this send to others OUTSIDE of Cypress Head?
Last evening (22 March 2021), A.C., once again, called out and bullied the butterfly garden homeowner a few times on Cypress Head Next Door. This time, she responded and requested that he ceases and desists further communication with her and other butterfly garden supporters. He, of course, refused to respect her request. She thanked him for validating the bullying that is occurring on Cypress Head Next Door.
Does anyone notice what appears to be a VULGAR pattern of abuse, targeting, bullying, harassing, and intimidating of Cypress Head female residents with young children?
Again, public opinion favors butterflies over bullies.
It appears to be a Cypress Head culture that starts in the ARB and now migrates into online forums. This must not be tolerated by anyone in any community and especially in Cypress Head where it seems to be a REALLY toxic situation.
The Cypress Head HOA Board seems to now create and/ or encourage fictitious online characters and seems to give free reign to cyberbullies in a last-ditch effort to desperately try to win the court of public opinion and/ or to intimidate those who the leadership seems to harbor vendettas against.
According to another Cypress Head resident who was the subject of another vendetta:
Meanwhile, a further investigation into the alias "James Pepper" yields a bombshell:
EACH NEW NextDoor CYPRESS HEAD MEMBER APPEARS TO REQUIRE APPROVAL BY THE CYPRESS HEAD PRESIDENT.
(This is a screen shot of a Cypress Head NextDoor welcome message by B.C., President of the Board of Cypress Head.)
Fake NextDoor and/ or other fake social media accounts appear to create a SIGNIFICANT and UNACCEPTABLE liability for EVERY resident of Cypress Head
AND for the community at large, especially when fake aliases are being generated and no one knows who is masquerading behind these false identities on Cypress Head NextDoor. This is most concerning for parents of small children.
What message does this send to residents and potential residents of Cypress Head?
A request for the legitimate identity of "James Pepper" was put in writing to the president of Cypress Head HOA and to the Campbell Property Management Company property manager to no avail.
Stay tuned, folks. This party is only getting started. In Cypress Head.
Please call and email your support for the C. children's butterfly garden
in Cypress Head that NOW faces destruction in Cypress Head, a premier community
in Parkland, Florida. Tell them that it cannot be destroyed.
Thank you.
MAYOR RICH WALKER 954-757-4127 (rwalker@cityofparkland.org)
BROWARD COUNTY VICE MAYOR MICHAEL UDINE (mudine@broward.org)
CYPRESSHEAD 954-753-7900
CAMPBELL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT 954-427-8770
The destruction of this butterfly habitat cannot be allowed to happen in Cypress Head as it sets a negative precedent for other HOA communities to follow. Thank you.
We must NOT allow the Cypress Head leadership, HOA, and management company
to destroy children's butterfly gardens.
UPDATES AND DISCLOSURES: Please be advised that this post was slightly revised for clarity (in the fourth to last paragraph) and to add additional evidence (in the form of two screen shots, including a NextDoor welcome message from B.C., the president of the Board of Cypress Head and another screen shot of the welcome screen for the fictitious account of "James Pepper") to warn parents and all community members of the dangers of fake social media accounts, on 24 March 2021at 10:35:40 EST.
